Who is this 4-week session for?

Whether brand new to pilates or a general beginner looking to brush up on the foundations of the practice, this class is for students who are looking to build consistency and a strong foundation in their practice on the Reformer. This class is capped at 6 people, allowing for a personalized practice and individual attention from the instructor.

Berit Ahlgren

Berit Ahlgren began her pilates journey as a ballet student at Minnesota Dance Theater. Years later, while studying to become a physical therapist, Ahlgren pursued her STOTT Pilates certification with intentions to use the method with patients. Since finishing her full certification in the STOTT method in 2007, she has taught locally at The Sweat Shop, Lifetime Fitness, and Flourish Pilates, while also teaching in Hoboken, NJ and abroad in Stockholm, Sweden. With a background in dance and the arts, owner Berit Ahlgren approaches teaching through proper technique, alignment and body awareness for safety and longevity of the practitioner’s body.

Ashley Fresquez

Ashley Fresquez has been teaching Pilates for 12 years. As well as teaching clients she has been a part of Pilates teacher training programs. She loves introducing Pilates to people for the first time and helping them discover a deeper connection to and understanding of their bodies. She is especially interested in the transformative outcome of mind-body connections made through movement practices.
